Tees Valley Christian Media operates as a not-for-profit organisation with the purpose of meeting the needs of the Tees Valley community through social action, social enterprise, and professional media services. This innovative and exciting new initiative consists of three dynamic projects:Cross Rhythms Teesside
Cross Rhythms Teesside community radio station due to commence broadcasting 24/7 on 107.1 FM to the community of Stockton-on-Tees and into the wider Tees Valley in 2008. The station will exist to engage the community through the medium of radio using local news, discussions and interviews, with the latest contemporary Christian music providing the backbone to the sound and ethos of the station.
TVCM: Media Training
The Cross Rhythms/TVCM team offers a range of alternative education courses specifically tailored to the needs of various groups within the community. The training courses focus on developing key skills as well as looking at entry to employment, diversionary activities from crime, anti social and risk taking behaviour, and adult education. The media training programme will focus its work upon some of the most in-need and vulnerable people within its community. Current courses include: DJ/MC workshops, video production and editing, web design, introduction to the internet, music production and events management.
TVCM: Marketing Agency (Social Enterprise)
TVCM Marketing Agency operates as a social enterprise where its profits are reinvested into the work of Cross Rhythms Teesside. The agency offers the highest quality service at competitive prices for local businesses, churches and organisations. The Agency can produce Publications, Fliers, T-Shirts and Merchandising, and offer advertising space on CRT and in the TVCM quarterly community magazine.
